The whole point of AJATT, or immersion in general, is to keep in constant contact with your L2 (for me, Japanese). This gets divided into two areas. One is reading/writing and the other is listening. If you’re like most people, you have a job that requires you to work 40+ hours a week. Luckily my job allows me to be a cube dweller. I love it because of how much it allows me to immerse myself in Japanese. If you’re going to become serious about learning Japanese, you’ve got to dedicate as much time and energy as you can, into being immersed in it whenever possible and I’m working on just that!
